In 2015, my son Archer was born, dramatically changing my life and outlook. I began working with the Memphis Fire Department and soon earned my Emergency Medical Technician License. Through that work, I developed an awareness and passion for helping people and businesses recover from disasters and setbacks. I wanted to assist those struggling to overcome Fires, Water damage, mold, biohazards, or hoarder situations. I became an expert in restoration, earning certification across each category to better understand the challenges and develop practical solutions.
In 2017, I created American Veterans Restoration to meet the growing demand for fully insured, state-of-the-art quality services in this sector while also creating valuable and meaningful opportunities for Disabled American Veterans like myself. This concept, built on integrity and deep patriotism, proved to be a winning combination. The company thrived beyond my expectations, and though we began in Memphis, we started franchising AVR in 2020, taking it nationwide.
My entire team, like myself, is dedicated to providing a quality service that can fundamentally change and improve lives. Service to our country—directly helping our neighbors and communities—is our greatest motivation.
My story—and the story of American Veterans Restoration—begins in Collierville, Tennessee, where I was born and raised. Two years after graduating from Collierville High School in 2003, I joined the United States Navy and served in the Military Police as a K-9 officer.
I served on the USS George Washington (CVN73), NAS Oceana, NSA Bahrain, and Afghanistan and Iraq, earning numerous commendations and awards, including expert pistol, expert rifle, and good conduct. I became certified to work as an explosive detector dog team member, team leader, and QASO. When I was discharged in 2010, I continued working with explosive detector dogs as an independent contractor with the Department of State until 2014.
